The Asia Pacific Youth Exchange Philippines (APYExPHL) participated in the De La Salle University College of Liberal Arts’ (DLSU CLA) Art Fest 2019 last 12-15 March. De La Salle University’s batch government (FAST2016), represented by Mr. Milo Unčanin, and Arts College Government, represented by Ms. Zeanne Garcia, invited APYExPHL representatives to their advocacy fair, wherein internal and external organizations with different advocacies showcased their initiatives and how students from DLSU CLA engage with them.

The APYExPHL team, represented by Mr. Chan Manahan, Ms. Dionela Bigcas, and Ms. Colleen Arceo, set-up a booth for three days in De La Salle University to introduce APYExPHL to the students. The booth consisted of interactive challenges and tasks with various prizes to win once the students accept and complete them. With the help of the College of Liberal Arts student governments, the organization was able to share its mission and actions to the students of the university.
Through this event, APYExPHL met students who are eager to learn more about how they could help in actualizing the 2030 agenda. This opportunity became a stepping stone to open avenues for students to engage in the organization’s programs which aim to empower the youth to drive the SDGs into action. APYExPHL hopes to continue strengthening bridges with universities and schools in the Philippines to make these platforms accessible to the all.
