Plan International is committed to ensure the protection of children and young people against any form of harm, abuse and/or violence by taking the necessary preventive safeguarding measures to secure that children and young people grow up in a safe and nurturing environment. Determined to work together with relevant organizations in advocating for child safety, Plan leads educational workshops that promotes awareness and support for the protection of children’s and young people’s rights.

An increasing number of child or youth-oriented organizations have been observing methods that progressively integrate child safeguarding guidelines. As a result, a strengthened reporting and tracking of incidents concerning child maltreatment push for a more adept response system.

APYExPHL aims to establish their own preventive measures to include safeguarding policies, code of conduct, and associated procedures that ensure proper management of risks in its operations, activities and engagements. In completion, a culture of awareness will be harnessed within the organization wherein staff, participants, and alumni understand their responsibility in safeguarding the children and young people they engage with, as well as the proper practice in adapting actions to prevent harm or abuse. Appropriate sanction and monitoring will also be followed in accordance to the imposed reporting and responding regulations that are directed towards the welfare of children and young people in the program and in different partner communities. APYE Philippines is committed to build safe and stable environments where children and young people are being respected and taken care of at any given circumstance.
